Knowing how to think of the world computationally is a core modern skill
There is a thing, that everybody should know. And that is how to think of the world computationally. (Stephen Wolfram - Lex Friedman Podcast #376 @ 2:54:00)
In an age of AI and more and more data, a core skill is to break down “things” into abstract representations or models, in order to systemize and enable computing said “things”.
Thinking in systems and models will become a vital skill in order to be productive and produce things of long-lasting value. Also, With systems and automated processes you gain compounding interest in your investment of time. To be able to build those systems we first need to systemize our thinking, so it is a prerequisite to being efficient and gaining compound interest.
